My husband and I met Barry at the UAlbany Men’s and Women’s Basketball games. He sat front and center at the games cheering on the basketball, cheerleading, and dance teams. Barry would always have a collection of jokes (mostly puns) and candy to share in his pockets. We’d also exchange recommendations on good mystery books to read and mystery series to stream. We started texting regularly when COVID shut things down. Unfortunately he never got back to UA to watch the games in person afterwards, although he faithfully watched the games on ESPN+. It was a pleasure to know him and I will miss hearing from him.
